Elmvale Acres is a mature, well-established suburb in the South-Central part of Ottawa just minutes away from downtown. Built by Campeau in the 1950s, these one-story bungalows erected on acres of farmland, numbered about 1600. Today, this pocket of homes beside Alta Vista is a sought-after community.
Not only is it comprised of the bungalows constructed 60 years ago (some of which have been tastefully altered with a second floor and full, modernized basements), but newer, larger homes have been added to the mix as well as several apartment buildings located on the outskirts. Well-maintained, with shady, mature trees and sizeable front and back lawns, Elmvale Acres attracts many new and seasoned home-buyers and renters.
